California Gold Wedding Bands – Handcrafted
Our California Gold Wedding Bands are crafted from actual California river gold. The raw gold is ethically mined in the Sierra Nevada foothills of Northern California, and then handcrafted into finished rings in our Santa Monica jewelry studio. The collection boasts a raw, earthy look achieved by the greenish gold color of the 20K alloy and our matte hammered finish.
Why Choose a California Gold Wedding Band?
Authentically Californian — made with gold still mined today in Northern California, then handcrafted for you in our Santa Monica jewelry studio.
Traceable & ethical — while many rings are responsibly crafted, the gold itself is rarely traceable. Ours is fully traceable and 100% California-mined.
Distinctive beauty — a rare 20K alloy with a natural green-gold hue, finished with our signature matte hammered texture.
A meaningful story — each ring carries the history and spirit of California, crafted by a local artisan with over 40 years of expertise and stamped inside with a hallmark of the California grizzly bear.

California Gold refers to gold mined in California. Rare and special, we source this gold from our claim on the Yuba River and a fully-permitted small-scale mining operation in the Sierra Nevada foothills. Unlike most gold used in jewelry, ours is fully traceable to its source — making each wedding band both unique and meaningful, carrying the story of California’s landscape and history. Learn More.

Yes. While lower karats like 18K and 14K are technically harder, our 20K California Gold strikes a balance of purity and durability. We chose 20K to honor the natural state of California river gold which comes from the earth at roughly this karat, and for its distinctive greenish gold hue. With normal care, your ring will last a lifetime. As with all gold jewelry, it’s best to remove your wedding band for activities like weightlifting, gardening, or working with heavy tools to prevent unnecessary wear.

The most accurate way is to visit a jeweler and have your finger sized professionally. If you’re purchasing online, our free ring sizer kit is the best option to ensure an accurate fit from home.

Frequently Asked Questions
Below are some of the most common questions about our California Gold wedding bands, from durability to sizing and customization.
A Unique Hammered Finish – Inspired by Raw River Gold Nuggets
Our California Gold Wedding Bands feature a signature soft-hammered matte finish. Inspired by the look and feel of the raw gold nuggets from which these rings are made, tumbled by eons of flowing water and rocks, our finish gives a natural and earthy feel. With time and wear, the hand-applied finish will evolve taking on the scratches and marks that reflect the moments of your life.
