20K YELLOW CALIFORNIA GOLD
The 20K yellow California gold we use is responsibly-mined in Yuba and Nevada counties in Northern California - in part by us on a family claim in the Yuba River and a local mine we are partners in, as well as from nearby partners that we have worked with for years. Since we are directly involved from mining to making, you get an unequivocal level of transparency of exactly how and where your piece was made. High in gold purity, our proprietary 20K alloy offers an organic greenish-gold coloring that is characteristic of raw California placer gold and unique compared to the orangey hue of 14K and purer yellow tone of 22K. The physical softness of this higher karat gold means the piece will take on nicks and scratches overtime, but by nature and our process—is made for everyday long-term wear. The marks made become a beautiful patina reflective of your personal life and story.

We are glad to make this style in platinum, 14K rose gold or 14k white gold. Please note that these versions are not made from California-mined gold and therefore will not be marked with the grizzly bear hallmark, but they are still handcrafted by us in California!
